Launch Career Services, LLC (together with its subsidiaries, “Launch”) is a leading provider of professionally curated digital portfolios. We host digital portfolios for our clients, primarily high school juniors and seniors. An unfortunate consequence of our size and reputation is the misuse of our name, brands and reputation by imposters and frauds publishing fake websites and engaging in “phishing” scams seeking personal or confidential information, including by posting fake job offers on legitimate websites such as LinkedIn or Facebook
When communicating with Launch through digital media, please:
- Confirm you are visiting a Launch authorized website. Launch’s only authorized websites are the www.launchsvc.com domain. No other website domains are authorized.
Furthermore, no vendors are authorized by Launch to request or receive financial information through websites.
- Do not share your password and login ID with anyone, including anyone from Launch. Certain Launch online environments are private, available only to partners through secure login procedures. If you forget your password or login, we will issue you new ones.
- Do not communicate or deal with personnel who are not affiliated with an authorized office currently located in Charlotte, North Carolina. No other office locations are authorized offices of Launch.
- Do not send e-mails to anyone with an address other than authorized Launch e-mail addresses. Launch does not permit our employees and authorized representatives to send or receive work related e-mails from personal accounts like gmail.com or yahoo.com; or conduct business over chat platforms such as Slack or Skype. If you are or become suspicious of potentially fraudulent activity when communicating through email or chat platforms, please contact info@launchsvc.com with the subject line of "Launch Inquiry", for assistance.
- Imposters can use the Launch name in furtherance of a variety of criminal activities. In particular, beware of scams purportedly affiliated with Launch that promise extraordinary returns on any sort of investment at little to no risk. These “high-yield investment programs” are frauds. For more information on high-yield investment programs and how to avoid them, visit the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission webpage at http://www.sec.gov/answers/highyild.htm.
